How You Can Help!

Become an active member of your society! By getting involved with/ becoming a member of organizations such as the Rhode Island Forest Preservation Committee, Amazon Watch, Forest Stewardship Council, and Trees for the Future, you will start to become more aware/ understanding of the immediate threats deforestation and global warming have on our environment.

Be aware of  the products you are buying! Look out for products containing the RSPO label and make consumer-conscious purchasing decisions. Palm oil is in virtually every product, so it's important to make sure the products you are buying are coming from sustainable palm oil plantations.

Donate to the cause! Every donation made towards the RIFPC is split evenly (25% each) between its three co-sponsored organizations. We believe this way, we can help forests all over the world and our goal to end deforestation can be best achieved.

Volunteer with the RIFPC! The RIFPC loves working with people who share the same passion about the environment as we do! We always accept volunteers to help organize and run events as well as spread our powerful mission. Contact us to learn more about how to become a volunteer!

Lastly, inform others about deforestation and how they too can help put an end to it! Don't keep knowledge to yourself. Let others know about the dangers of deforestation. The more people we can reach, the better chance our world has at making positive, impactful change.
